Jeff was great! I appreciated that before we even got started he asked what concerns we had. He ran through what to expect, to ask questions throughout the inspection, and what to expect from the finished report. I felt he was thorough and put my mind at ease as a first time homebuyer. He was polite, professional, and flexible with the occupant and his dogs that were also onsite during the inspection. During the inspection he took the time to point out things for us that will need to be addressed, the best route to fix things, and generally who to contact. This was my first home inspection so I don't know what is typical, but he did do more than just the Standards of Practice. (We swear we only brought it along for reference, Jeff 😅). He seemed like a genuinely nice guy who wants to do right by the customer. Would highly recommend!

The inspector was very thorough checking the inside, outside, basement, and attic. As he went through, he told us about anything we need to keep an eye on or some damaged parts that were no longer a threat. He was very knowledgeable on any questions I had about the house.

Were trying to buy a home and I believe we got Jeff but when he came to the house he spotted a major issue right away and probably saved us tons of money and headaches. I honestly can’t thank him enough for being such a good person. He told us what to look for and was very informative. We discovered 3 days beforehand that our home builder deemed our new house "finished" 2 weeks before closing. House Call Home Inspection was the only inspection firm in the area that had any availability. I gave 2 stars because we were able to obtain an inspection on short notice, the office staff were friendly, the inspection was performed on the correct day, and an inspection report was provided in a timely manner. We were not able to attend the inspection due to work commitments. When we called to schedule an inspection, everyone seemed to be nonplussed that we wanted a new-build home to be inspected. That response should have been a red flag; new homes are just as likely as older homes to have actionable structural, functional, and quality issues. We thought the inspector's report was cursory at best, and it was clear, after we moved in, that he hadn't inspected many typical items. We have lived in our new home for a few months, and we have discovered multiple items that a general home inspection should have caught. This is not our first home buying experience, and our previous general home inspectors were far more thorough. The inspector never turned on our gas stove to confirm the gas hookup was working (it does not appear that anyone turned on our stove before we moved in). He did not notice that our dryer vent hookup in the laundry room was essentially a large hole with a pipe sticking out (we could not hook up the dryer until the builder came and fixed it after move-in), even though it was clearly visible, with no impediments, at the time of inspection. In fact, he included a picture of it in the report but didn't flag it as a problem. He failed to identify that the builder had installed a BATHROOM VENT WITH A SCREEN INSTEAD OF A DRYER VENT on the exterior of the house, but he did walk around the exterior and even took a picture of that area. He did not check all the light switches; the dining room light was very obviously hooked up incorrectly. He did not notice that a key part of our front door deadbolt lock was missing. He did not notice a major ventilation system issue, which was clearly visible, in the basement. None of the upstairs bathroom sinks will hold water due to missing drain parts and faulty installation, and he didn't seem to notice. He didn't notice that our pantry--which was empty at the time--had malfunctioning brackets and we couldn't use some of the shelves, although he did take a picture of the pantry. Yes, except for the dryer vent issue, most of these issues are minor, but we've never had an inspector miss so many items, including obvious items THAT WERE PHOTOGRAPHED.

Buying our first home and House Call was prompt and very professional 👍 got inspection report back the same day. Easy to read with pictures to reference.

Jeff Bliler was absolutely amazing. He came early on Sunday morning to inspect the house we were buying. It took a little over 2 hours. We chatted most of the time, he gave us (as new homeowners) tips on what to look out for when it came to roof, outdoor paneling, etc. He was extremely detail oriented - taking pictures and note of everything he looked through. The two hours flew by, as he made the whole visit very pleasant. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to inspect their future homes. We are definitely saving his card for future inspections.

I recently used 4sight for our home inspection, Jeff was amazing! He made me feel comfortable asking questions no matter how silly they may have sounded. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Being a first time home buyer I asked where things were and how to use them and he politely show me and explained what we'd need to do or when to replace things. An awesome extra this company offers is half off for veterans, Emts, policeman and firefighters. They want to give back so they offer such a huge discount, Which significantly helped us make it more affordable.With that being done you'd think maybe they'd skimp on some of the inspection aspects, but nope. They did a great job, we even got the paperwork back within 2 days. I'll use them again!
